Inspection of Welding Bead Information

3D Camera
One of the test items that are actively expanding applications using LAON PEOPLE 3D camera is welding inspection. Defective inspections of welding applied to cars, pipe manufacturing, and H beams can also be more easily performed with 3D cameras.





A 3D image is not required for welding inspection. Profile mode can also be applied for welding bead tracking inspection of a constant structure, as shown in [figure 2]. Continuous mode inspection allows inspection of height, cut, length, width, and angle of welding at the same time.




[figure 3] below shows detection of defects when the welding width and height are lowered in the middle of the bead.




[figure 4] is an application that can be checked at once, in addition to welding inspection, to the height of tightening bolt. In the case of a bolt welding inspection, the use of a dual camera minimizes the shaded area, making it more accurate.




Dual Camera Mode is one of the inspection methods using multiple cameras to remove laser or camera shaded areas caused by the product structure and can be easily implemented using API provided.

The client company who is the refrigerator manufacturer wanted to introduce vision solution to the inspection process for the defective compressor parts that can occur during the product processing process.
